About the Project
The project called Voice It, Hear It was launched in early 2024 and aims to engage with people living and working in Wiltshire to co-produce, co-design and co-develop local health and social care services. Voice It, Hear It is funded by Wiltshire Council and Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board.
Community First is working with Wiltshire Service Users Network, Wessex Community Action, Age UK Wiltshire, Alzheimer’s Support and Celebrating Age Wiltshire to deliver a co-production, voice and engagement project in Wiltshire.
Voice It Hear It will be required to work with, and support Wiltshire’s health, education and social care people who use the service and their care.
Voice It Hear It is dedicated to amplifying the voices of adults with lived experiences, ensuring their insights are heard, shared, and acted upon. To achieve this, we are forming a stakeholder organisation of organisations that support and deliver services to these individuals.
The partnership purpose is to engage and seek the views of adults and children with:
- Learning disabilities and difficulties
- Physical impairments
- Sensory impairments
- Mental health needs
- Autism spectrum conditions
- Older adults with conditions such as frailty and cognitive impairment
- Social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Speech, language, and communication needs
- Substance use disorder
- Any other factors impacting on a child, adult, or families’ ability to achieve positive outcomes and for which services are provided (e.g., trauma, domestic abuse, exploitation, etc.)
We aim to collaborate with you as our 'extended partners' to better understand how and where we can engage with the adult organisations you work with. By leveraging your existing trusted relationships, we can co-host and conduct consultations more effectively, ensuring the voices of your clients/organisations are included, valued and acted on.
Your participation will help us reach these communities and ensure their experiences inform new policies/strategies and services.
To help us achieve this, please register and tell us about your organisation, your client organisation, and how we might reach out through your networks. We do have some funding to support this work, albeit small, for running workshops on behalf of Voice It Hear It. If interested, complete the form and return it to [email protected].
Your participation will aid in consulting clients and sharing their information as we develop new strategies and services for Wiltshire Council and BSW.
